When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Not just for sports cars. This really livened up my 2014 Subaru Forester (naturally aspirated). I didn’t expect to see much improvement, but was pleasantly surprised by the acceleration increase; almost like a newer faster version. And in the snow with the evo setting, I don’t slide as much on take-off. Super easy install too.

2016 forester xt touring There was a lag between acceleration pedal and actual acceleration. (not to be confused with turbo lag) My Cobb tuner helped with overall performance but the pedal lag was still there. Enter pedal commander. In sports mode the lag is now gone. Easy install and setup. In my case it was easiest to remove the two 10mm nuts holding the pedal to the firewall. Then easy access to the plug. Pedal commander fixed the problem and I wish I had it 6 years ago!
