When you first press down on the accelerator, there is a delay before anything actually happens. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems cause this as they take the signal from the accelerator pedal when you press it and send it to the vehicle’s ECU. The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

I bought one for my Cadillac CTS-V and I love it as usual. Since it's got 550 hp, I don't use much more than sport mode. Sport+ maybe for the track, but it's too touchy for that car. Any of the sport mode settings are perfect for daily driving. I also bought one for my wife's 2024 Hyundai Tucson 2.5L 4 cylinder. That car is much easier to drive now too, although I have it set for highest sport mode and my wife finds it a little too jumpy when going into reverse, so I'm going to set it to lowest sport mode for her despite that she likes how the car more easily goes up inclines without having to push the gas pedal way down. That's really what I like about pedal commander; is that you don't have to put so much effort into pushing the gas pedal way down in order to get performance. This is my fourth pedal commander, so I can definitely recommend it.

Pedal Commander, I was watching TruckU on Motortrend channel on they show that they where installing a new Pedal Commander on a new Ford Bronco. They stated that the Pedal Commander would get rid of the hesitation of the gas pedal. Anyone that has a 2022 Hyundai Tucson 2.5L knows it's no rocket ship off the line or when passing. Coming from a 2016 Tucson with the 1.6Turbo, I knew something had to be done to improve performance without voiding the warranty. I read a few reviews on the different products out there that supposedly improved the acceleration in vehicles with the throttle by wire pedal. I settled on the Pedal Commander because of the many five star reviews. I installed it easily after removing the pedal assembly. One bolt and one nut hold it in place. The easiest way of removing the connector. Follow the install direction and you should not get any check engine lights. I set it at City +4 and the Tucson is like the 1.6T off of the line now and while merging & passing. No more lag, just steady pulling compared to stock. My weekend car is a Shelby GT500, so I do have some experience with performance. No, the Pedal Commander does not add horsepower but the difference in accelerating from stock, is like day and night.
